Sunday, May 31st 1:00pm Lao Sze Chuan (5849 Poplar Avenue Suite #117, Memphis, TN 38119)

Lao Sze Chuan brings bold, regional Chinese flavors, especially the signature heat and depth of Sichuan cuisine, to Memphis with spice-forward dishes, numbing peppercorns, and vibrant, shareable plates. While this stop is a departure from our usual focus on locally owned restaurants, it’s included because of its local ownership and the way it has quickly become part of the city’s broader food landscape. It reflects both strong culinary tradition and the evolving range of Asian dining options now present in Memphis.

And since we’ll already be in the neighborhood, we may make a sweet little detour next door to Tous Les Jours, an international bakery chain with only a handful of locations in the U.S., known for its Korean-French inspired pastries, breads, and desserts.
